Emergency funds for the costs that come with end-of-life care, paid quickly and without red tape.
What the Foundation pays for
Since 2002 the Foundation has helped many families in Lincoln County with costs associated with end-of-life care. Requests are as varied as the families who make them. We have paid for:
- Prescriptions and medications
- Home-health and hospice care
- Medical supplies and equipment, such as a hospital bed or oxygen
- Firewood and heating in the frigid winter months
- Travel so loved ones can be near a dying family member
- Installing a telephone, utility bills and other urgent household costs
Every application is reviewed quickly so that we can assist with immediate, emergency needs. A board member will contact you after reviewing your request.
Do you qualify?
You may be eligible if you have lived in Lincoln County for at least 90 days, the person needing care has been diagnosed with an incurable illness with a life expectancy of 12 months or less, and your household income is within the limits below. You do not need to be enrolled in hospice or home-health care.
